Background: The pathogenesis of neuropathic pain is complex and lacks effective clinical treatment strategies. Medical plants and herbal extracts from traditional Chinese medicine with multi-target comprehensive effects have attracted great attention from scientists.
Purpose: To investigate the pharmacological active components and mechanism underlying the anti-neuralgia effect of classic analgesic formulas Duhuo Jisheng Mixture (DJM).

In a previous study, we demonstrated successful regeneration of Atlantic salmon gill tissue following up to 50 % filament resection. The present study explored 1) the capacity of gill tissue to regenerate following more severe trauma, 2) if regeneration potential varies across regions of the arch, and 3) how tissue loss impacts the physiology of neighboring unresected filaments. Fish were divided between two resected groups and a control non-resected one.

Background: While TRPA1 serves as a therapeutic target for nociceptive pain, its role in acute visceral pain induced by uterine cervical dilation (UCD) remains an enigma. This study aims to elucidate the upstream and downstream mechanisms of TRPA1 in the context of UCD-induced acute visceral pain.
Methods: The UCD rats were administered with SAH (inhibitor of the METTL3-METTL14 complex) via intrathecal tubing.

Changes in DNA methylation and subsequent alterations in gene expression have opened a new direction in research related to the pathogenesis of peripheral neuropathic pain (PNP). This study aimed to reveal epigenetic perturbations underlying DNA methylation in the dorsal root ganglion (DRG) of rats with peripheral nerve injury in response to prior exercise and identify potential target genes involved. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into three groups, namely, chronic constriction injury (CCI) of the sciatic nerve, CCI with prior 6-week swimming training (CCI_Ex), and sham operated (Sham).

Transient receptor potential ankyrin 1 (TRPA1) and vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) channels are crucial for detecting and transmitting nociceptive stimuli. Inflammatory pain is associated with sustained increases in TRPA1 and TRPV1 expression in primary sensory neurons. However, the epigenetic mechanisms driving this upregulation remain unknown.
