Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor endangering women's life and health. Tamoxifen citrate (TAM) is the first-line drug of adjuvant endocrine therapy for estrogen receptor-positive (ER) breast cancer patients. Some sporadic cases have described rare adverse reactions of TAM with potentially life-threatening dermatological manifestations, which were associated with skin allergy.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is a notoriously aggressive primary brain tumor characterized by elevated recurrence rates and poor overall survival despite multimodal treatment. Local treatment strategies for GBM are safer and more effective alternatives to systemic chemotherapy, directly tackling residual cancer cells in the resection cavity by circumventing the blood-brain barrier. Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) are promising drug delivery systems due to their high-affinity binding cavities that enable tailored release kinetics.

Pseudoexfoliation (PEX) is an age-related, complex systemic disorder of protein aggregopathy. It is characterized by the extracellular fibril depositions, termed PEX fibrils, initially observed in various organ tissues during pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PEXS) and with significant prominence in the eye during advanced pseudoexfoliation glaucoma (PEXG). The study explores the association between CACNA1 A (calcium channel, voltage-dependent, P/Q type, alpha 1 A subunit) variants and PEX in an Indian population.

Traumatic brain injury is a significant risk factor for the development of post-traumatic epilepsy (PTE), posing a major clinical challenge. This review discusses the critical role of GABAergic interneurons and reactive astrogliosis in the pathophysiology of post-traumatic epilepsy, integrating findings from our research group within the traumatic brain injury context with recent literature to highlight the impact of excitation-inhibition imbalance. We analyzed alterations in interneuron populations, specifically subtypes expressing the calcium-binding proteins parvalbumin, calretinin, and calbindin, and their association with an increased risk of epileptogenesis after TBI.

Gingival enlargements are mostly plaque-induced. Other than plaque, a few genetic conditions also cause enlargements of the gingiva. In recent years, there has been a notable rise in drug-induced gingival overgrowth (DIGO) linked to the increased use of medications for various systemic conditions.
