Introduction: Adolescent/young adult (AYA) patients with metastatic soft tissue sarcoma (STS) typically face a dismal prognosis. However, a subset of patients with incurable disease lives beyond two years. Due to the rarity of diagnoses and inherent heterogeneity within this population, a paucity of data exists regarding the experiences of AYAs with an indolent course (and how to best capture these experiences).

Pelvic masses can represent various etiologies, including gynecologic and non-gynecologic conditions. As discussed in this paper, among all pathologies, intraabdominal dissemination of an extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma (ESMC) presenting as a pelvic mass is a rare condition. The case is a 58-year-old woman with a history of soft tissue sarcoma who presented to the gynecologic oncology department with a pelvic mass and was operated on with the suspicion of mucinous ovarian cancer.

Introduction: Extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma (EMC) is a rare sarcoma defined by NR4A3 gene rearrangements, typically featuring uniform cells with eosinophilic cytoplasm and mild atypia, arranged in cords or clusters within a chondromyxoid stroma. A cellular variant, characterized by increased cellular density and a solid growth pattern, has been recognized.
Methods: We encountered three cases of round cell sarcomas, diagnosed as EMC based on NR4A3 or NR4A2 rearrangements.

Introduction: Percutaneous cryoablation is a first-line therapeutic option for primary neoplasms and metastatic lesions of the musculoskeletal system. Treatment of abdominal wall tumors is challenging as surgical resection can be highly morbid and necessitate complex reconstructive surgery; the efficacy of cryoablation for abdominal wall tumors may be limited by inadequate posterior margins owing to the proximity of intra-abdominal organs. With laparoscopy and insufflation, peritoneal structures can be safely mobilized away from the abdominal wall, allowing for adequate deep margin freeze and visualization of the ice ball.
