A new derivative of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) has been studied for its effect on membrane lipid composition and peroxidation under long-term pretreatment in Wistar male rats under experimental stress. The purpose of the study was to determine membrane mechanisms of the stress-protective effect of this preparation found in our previous investigations. A significant increase of lipid peroxidation and suppression of the main enzymes of free-radical protective system (catalase, superoxide dismutase) were observed in erythrocyte membranes of rats after the long-term stress. Phospholipid and cholesterol composition of membranes was also altered. Cholesterol/phospholipid ratio and lysophosphatide content in erythrocyte membranes were increased. These changes were less pronounced in the pretreated group. Some indices even did not differ from those in the non-stressed group. These results indicate that the long-term pretreatment with n-3 PUFA in rats partially protects membrane lipid composition, stress-induced alterations and prevents suppression of membrane-bound enzymes.

Infertility and assisted reproduction treatment (ART) are frequently accompanied by the experience of emotional disorders. Psychological interventions are available for infertile populations, but the barriers of current face-to-face models of care difficult their dissemination. This systematic review (PROSPERO: CRD4202340179) aims to summarize how technologies are used in telemedicine psychological programs to manage emotional disorders in women undergoing fertility treatments.

Colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R) is almost exclusively expressed on microglia in the human brain and thus, has promise as a biomarker for imaging microglia density as a proxy for neuroinflammation. [C]CPPC is a radiotracer with selective affinity to CSF1R, and has been evaluated for in-human microglia PET imaging. The flourine-18 labeled CPPC derivative, 5-cyano-N-(4-(4-(2-[F]fluoroethyl)piperazin-1-yl)-2-(piperidin-1-yl)phenyl)furan-2-carboxamide ([F]FCPPC), was previously synthesized, however, with a low radiochemical yield using manual radiosynthesis.

Objective: We examined if racial residential segregation (RRS) - a fundamental cause of disease - is independently associated with air pollution after accounting for other neighborhood and individual-level sociodemographic factors, to better understand its potential role as a confounder of air pollution-health studies.
Methods: We compiled data from eight large cohorts, restricting to non-Hispanic Black and White urban-residing participants observed at least once between 1999 and 2005. We used 2000 decennial census data to derive a spatial RRS measure (divergence index) and neighborhood socioeconomic status (NSES) index for participants' residing Census tracts, in addition to participant baseline data, to examine associations between RRS and sociodemographic factors (NSES, education, race) and residential exposure to spatiotemporal model-predicted PM and NO levels.

Purpose: In addition to rodent models, the chick embryo model has gained attention for radiotracer evaluation. Previous studies have investigated tumours on the chorioallantoic membrane (CAM), but its value for radiotracer imaging of intracerebral tumours has yet to be demonstrated.
Procedures: Human U87 glioblastoma cells and U87-IDH1 mutant glioma cells were implanted into the brains of chick embryos at developmental day 5.
