Clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) is a condition where blood or bone marrow cells carry mutations associated with hematological malignancies. Individuals with CHIP have an increased risk of developing hematological malignancies, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, and all-cause mortality. Bone marrow transplantation (BMT) of cells carrying CHIP mutations into irradiated mice are useful procedures to investigate the dynamics of clonal expansion and potential therapeutic strategies, but myeloablative conditioning can induce confounding effects.

Background: Continuous fermentation offers advantages in improving production efficiency and reducing costs, making it highly competitive for industrial ethanol production. A key requirement for Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains used in this process is their tolerance to high ethanol concentrations, which enables them to adapt to continuous fermentation conditions. To explore how yeast cells respond to varying levels of ethanol stress during fermentation, a two-month continuous fermentation was conducted.

The influence exerted by air pollution on interregional workforce migration has garnered considerable attention in ecological economics over time; however, relatively scant consideration has been given to its effects on occupational transition dynamics. This study presents an empirical examination of the influence of air pollution on job changes among the working population and seeks to understand the underlying causal mechanisms. By merging detailed micro-level survey data with regional Fine particulate matter (PM) data from Chinese counties spanning the years 1997 to 2015, we have constructed an extensive database to support our analysis.

Associations between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and aggressive behavior have often been demonstrated, but the mechanisms underneath these relations are yet unclear. As high levels of ACEs and aggression have been found among individuals with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), ADHD dimensions might explain this association. Moreover, maladaptive emotion regulation is common in ADHD and was associated with aggressive behavior.
