Background: Different sets of quality indicators are used to identify areas for improvement in ovarian cancer care. This study reports transparently on how (surgical) indicators were measured and on the association between hospital volume and indicator results in Belgium, a country setting without any centralisation of ovarian cancer care.
Methods: From the population-based Belgian Cancer Registry, patients with a borderline malignant or invasive epithelial ovarian tumour diagnosed between 2014 and 2018 were selected and linked to health insurance and vital status data (n = 5119).

Objective: to investigate the role of CD- 44 immunohistochemical expression within tumoural and non-tumoural tissue, aiming to understand if it can help us to predict the need of performing inguinal lymph nodes dissection to complete surgery of the penis.
Materials And Methods: CD44 immunohistochemical expression was investigated in tissue specimens from 39 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the penis who underwent partial or total penectomy between 1987 and 2008. Patient age, tumour size, and grade; CD44 intensity score, cytological expression, topographic and distribution pattern were evaluated by immunohistochemistry on archived material and correlated with disease-specific survival.
The role of the lymphadenectomy (staging, prognostic, curative) as a part of surgical treatment of endometrial cancer type I is a subject of controversial discussions among oncogynecologists. In the present study has been presented the experience in the surgical management of endometrial cancer type I in one single institution. The incidence rate of lymph node metastases (LM) and the relationship between grading, stage, depth of myometrial invasion and LM have been revealed.
