Purpose: To evaluate prevalence and incidence rates of pigmentary maculopathy and retinopathy (PM/PR), and visual acuity (VA) changes in patients exposed to pentosan polysulfate sodium (PPS) and in patients with interstitial cystitis (IC) not exposed to PPS.

Methods: This is a retrospective cohort study (January 2015-March 2021) which included adult de-identified patients from the American Academy of Ophthalmology IRIS® Registry (Intelligent Research in Sight) and Komodo Health database. Three patient cohorts were identified: two PPS-exposed patient cohorts, and Non-PPS-exposed IC patient cohort.

Planar hexacoordination is an extremely uncommon phenomenon for the atoms that belong to the main group. Within this article, we have analyzed the potential energy surfaces (PES) of ABeCB (A = N, P, As, Sb, and Bi) clusters in neutral, monocationic, monoanionic, dicationic, and dianionic states using density functional theory (DFT). Among which PBeCB, PBeCB, AsBeCB, AsBeCB, SbBeCB, and BiBeCB clusters contain a planar hexacoordinate boron (phB) atom in the global minimum energy structures with symmetry.

Background: Radiotherapy is often given with androgen deprivation therapy for prostate cancer which causes a reduction in testosterone levels, which when below castrate levels, can cause the prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels to be artificially low.

Aim: To determine if high-level radiotherapy clinical trials are underestimating biochemical recurrence (BCR) rates due to inadequate measurement of testosterone levels.

Methods: The study plans for clinical trials performed by the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG [now NRG]) on clinicaltrials.
