Anemia is a potentially life-threatening blood disorder caused by an insufficient erythroblast volume in the circulatory system. Self-renewal failure of erythroblast progenitors is one of the key pathological factors leading to erythroblast deficiency. However, there are currently no effective drugs that selectively target this process.

Carbene-metal-amide (CMA) complexes have diverse applications in luminescence, imaging and sensing. In this study, we designed and synthesized a series of CMA complexes, which were subsequently doped into a PMMA host. These materials demonstrate light-induced dynamic phosphorescence, attributed to their long intrinsic triplet state lifetime (τP,int, in the μs-ms scale), high intersystem crossing (ISC) rate constant (kISC, up to 107 s-1), and bright phosphorescence.

In this study, nitrogen-doped carbon nanodots (N-CDs) with temperature and fluorescence sensing were prepared via hydrothermal method using L-lysine and ethylenediamine as precursors. The synthesized N-CDs exhibited spherical morphology with sizes ranging from 2.8 to 5.

Selected chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) patients may discontinue their tyrosine kinase inihibitor (TKI) in an attempt to achieve sustained treatment-free remission (TFR), which mitigates therapy-related side effects and limits treatment costs. TFR has been extensively studied following the discontinuation of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) - competitive TKI. However, there is minimal data concerning TFR after the discontinuation of the novel TKI asciminib.

Bicontinuous particle-stabilized emulsions (bijels) are unique soft materials that combine the bulk properties of two immiscible fluids into a single interconnected structure. This structure is achieved through the formation of two interwoven fluid networks, stabilized by an interfacial layer of colloidal particles. Bijels with submicron-scale domain networks can be synthesized solvent transfer-induced phase separation (STrIPS).
