Corrosion resistance, hardness and other mechanical properties of high entropy alloys are enhanced due to the addition of the proper elements. In this study, an equimolar powder mixture of AlNiCoCrFe was prepared as a coating material on plain carbon steel. It was produced by gas tungsten arc welding with the electrical currents of 90, 110 and 130 A.

Herein, we present a distorted square pyramidal mercury complex, [Hg(L)Cl] (1), based on a quinoline-substituted formazan ligand LH[3-Cyano-1,5-(quinolin-8-yl)formazan], which was evaluated for its anti-bacterial activity in vitro. Complex 1 was prepared by refluxing 3-Cyano-1,5-(quinolin-8-yl)formazan ligand and mercury chloride(II) in equimolar quantity and was characterized utilizing a range of analytical methods, including single crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) technique. The crystal packing in complex 1 has been elucidated using supramolecular investigations, which have shown the presence of fascinating Hg-Cl⋅⋅⋅Hg intermolecular spodium bonds of the order 3.

Herein, we describe a sustainable Co(II)-catalyzed synthesis of pyrroles and pyridines. Using a Co(II)-catalyst [CoII2(La)2Cl2] (1a) bearing redox-active 2-(phenyldiazenyl)-1,10-phenanthroline) (La) scaffold, various substituted pyrroles and pyridines were synthesized in good yields, taking alcohol as one of the primary feedstock. Pyrroles were synthesized by the equimolar reaction of 2-amino and secondary alcohols.

We present the preparation and investigation of a fluorine-free surface-active bis-N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) platinum(II) complex - trans-[Pt(mPEGCIm)Cl] - for interface-enhanced supported ionic liquid phase (SILP) catalysis within a group of (mPEG)-substituted ionic liquids (ILs) ([(mPEG)Im][A] ILs). The complex was characterized by means of single-crystal X-ray diffraction (scXRD) analysis and multinuclear (H, C, Pt) NMR spectroscopy, indicating the presence of two almost equimolar syn-anti-rotamers of the square-planar complex in solution. Angle-resolved X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (ARXPS) revealed pronounced interface-accumulation of trans-[Pt(mPEGCIm)Cl] in IL solutions of [(mPEG)Im][A] (A=I and PF ).

This study aimed at preparing sustained release rosuvastatin (Ru) calcium carbonate (CC) co-precipitate nano-formulation for local intra-osseous application in osteoporotic rats. Nano-formulations were prepared by the co-precipitation method using different concentrations of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) (0.2, 0.
