In summary, the recent increase in frequency of systemic fungal infections has stimulated the development of new antifungal agents which are easier to use and which have decreased toxicity. This has resulted in increase in use, and along with this, the appearance of fungi resistant to antifungal agents. The medical community will have to come to terms with this newly emerging problem.

Background And Purpose: Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) and eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) are the most common causes of chronic sinusitis from systemic granulomatous diseases. While both are small- to medium-sized vasculitis with necrotizing granulomas, they have different clinical courses and prognoses. Skeletal muscle plays a significant role in both local and systemic energy metabolism. The current investigation aims to explore the role of the Bambi gene in skeletal muscle, focusing on its implications for muscle hypertrophy and systemic metabolism.
