The distribution of chromosome aberrations in the cultured human peripheral blood lymphocytes exposed to 6 MeV neutrons was compared with that of lymphocytes exposed to gamma-rays. The regularities of both distributions were similar.

The protein regulator of cytokinesis 1 (PRC1) is a key regulator of microtubule crosslinking and bundling, which is crucial for spindle formation and cytokinesis. RITA, the BP-J nteracting and ubulin-ssociated protein, is a microtubule associated protein. We have reported that RITA localizes to mitotic spindles modulating microtubule dynamics and stability as well as to spindle poles affecting the activity of Aurora A.

Background: Magnesium (Mg) is essential for plant growth and development and plays critical roles in physiological and biochemical processes. Mg deficiency adversely affects growth of plants by limiting shoot and root development, disturbing the structure and membranes of the grana, reducing photosynthesis efficiency, and lowering net CO assimilation. The MGT (Magnesium transporter) family is responsible for the absorption and transportation of magnesium in plants.

Background: The C-repeat binding factor (CBF)/dehydration-responsive element binding (DREB1) belongs to a subfamily of the AP2/ERF (APETALA2/ethylene-responsive factor) superfamily, which can regulate many physiological and biochemical processes in plants, such as plant growth and development, hormone signal transduction and response to abiotic stress. Although the CBF/DREB1 family has been identified in many plants, studies of the CBF/DREB1 family in alfalfa are insufficient.
Results: In this study, 25 MsCBF genes were identified in the genome of alfalfa ("Zhongmu No.

We identified a CXCXCPXC motif and 11 CLG genes that regulate epidermal development by interacting with homeodomain leucine-zipper IV family proteins in Arabidopsis. Zinc finger proteins (ZFPs), the key regulators of plant growth and development, can be categorized based on the sequence patterns of zinc finger motifs. Here, by aligning the amino acid sequences of CFL1, AtCFL1, AtCFL2, GIRl, and GIR2, we identified the CXCXCPXC motif in their C-terminus, which differs from all the previously characterized canonical zinc finger motifs.

The basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factors (TFs) play a crucial regulatory role in the growth and development of plants, as well as in their response to environmental stresses. In this study, we identified 94 ChbHLHs from Cerasus humilis, an economically valuable tree native to northern China. We analyzed their evolutionary relationships, gene structures, chromosome distributions, promoter cis-regulatory elements, and collinearity.
