The Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory (MCMI) profiles of 69 active duty male soldiers who presented to an outpatient mental health clinic for a broad range of problems are compared to a local normative sample of 84 males. The clinical and comparison groups differed significantly on all 20 scales. In agreement with previous findings, the mean profile for the clinical group was a 2 (Avoidant)-8 (Passive-Aggressive) codetype, whereas the comparison group showed a 5 (Narcissistic)-6 (Antisocial) codetype. Findings offer specific codetypes that effectively discriminate functional versus dysfunctional individuals in a military setting and provide an empirical foundation on which to base future, and critically important, prospective studies of the predictive validity of the MCMI with military personnel. The potential role of the MCMI as a screening and assessment tool in military settings is discussed.

Fibromyalgia (FM) is a complex condition marked by increased pain sensitivity and central sensitization. Studies often explore the link between FM and depressive anxiety disorders, but few focus on dysthymia or persistent depressive disorder (PDD), which can be more disabling than major depression (MD). To identify clinical scales and subscales of the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI) that effectively describe and differentiate the psychological profile of PDD, with or without comorbid MD, in FM patients with PDD previously dimensionally classified by the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory III (MCMI-III).

Background: While invasive fusariosis and lomentosporiosis are known to be associated with fungemia, overall data on mold-related fungemia are limited, hampering early management. This study aimed to describe the epidemiology of mold-positive blood cultures.
Methods: Epidemiological and clinical data on mold-positive blood cultures from 2012 to 2022 were obtained from the RESSIF database.

This study investigates the diagnostic practices for mucormycosis among 30 French University Hospital mycology laboratories, in 2024. All laboratories perform both direct examination and culture, with fluorescent brighteners being the most commonly used method for direct examination. While 77 % of the participating laboratories routinely identify Mucorales to the species level, with 70 % having adopted Mucorales-specific quantitative PCR, primarily for the diagnosis of invasive fungal infections.
