Using color and pulsed Doppler ultrasonography, the interobserver reliability of measurements in the fetal circulation was evaluated in 41 pregnancies of 25 to 39 weeks' gestation. Two observers recorded flow velocity waveforms from the middle cerebral and renal arteries for measurement of peak systolic, minimum diastolic, and mean velocities, pulsatility index, and resistive index. Intraclass correlation coefficient of reliability was calculated by analysis of variance. Substantial interobserver agreement was found for pulsatility index and minimum diastolic velocity in both arteries. Therefore, these measurements have the greatest clinical applicability.

Purpose: This study aimed to assess the protective effect of a clinical dose esketamine on cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury and to reveal the potential mechanisms associated with microglial polarization and autophagy.
Methods: Experimental cerebral ischemia was induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) in adult rats and simulated by oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD) in BV-2 microglial cells. Neurological and sensorimotor function, cerebral infarct volume, histopathological changes, mitochondrial morphological changes, and apoptosis of ischemic brain tissues were assessed in the presence or absence of esketamine and the autophagy inducer rapamycin.

Purpose: To investigate static and dynamic brain functional alterations in dysthyroid optic neuropathy (DON) using resting-state functional MRI (rs-fMRI) with the amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF) and regional homogeneity (ReHo).
Materials And Methods: Fifty-seven thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy (TAO) patients (23 DON and 34 non-DON) and 27 healthy controls (HCs) underwent rs-fMRI scans. Static and dynamic ALFF (sALFF and dALFF) and ReHo (sReHo and dReHo) values were compared between groups.
Importance: The pathophysiology of ADHD is complicated by high rates of psychiatric comorbidities, thus delineating unique versus shared functional brain perturbations is critical in elucidating illness pathophysiology.
Objective: To investigate resting-state fMRI (rsfMRI)-complexity alterations among children with ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), respectively, and comorbid ADHD, ODD, and OCD, within the cool and hot executive function (EF) networks.
Design: We leveraged baseline data (wave 0) from the Adolescent Brain and Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study.

The bifurcation of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) is one of the most common sites for the formation of cerebral aneurysms, presenting significant challenges for surgical management. A primary concern in this area is the recurrence of aneurysms following surgical clipping, which necessitates a thorough investigation of the contributing factors. This study examined all cases of rebleeding from previously clipped MCA aneurysms among 195 surgically treated patients over an 11-year period.

The chronic occlusion of intracranial arteries generally has no or mild clinical symptoms, and the clinical symptoms of acute cerebral artery occlusion are mostly manifested as severe cerebral infarction symptoms, which often make early diagnosis difficult, thus losing the best treatment opportunity. Once cerebral infarction occurs, the consequences are difficult to recover. This is also an important reason for the high misdiagnosis rate and mortality of this disease.
