Five dogs presented with varying degrees of subconjunctival swelling and enophthalmos. Biopsy revealed the subconjunctival tissue to be fat. Surgical excision in two cases resulted in resolution of the clinical signs and demonstrated that the fat came from the retrobulbar region.

A 45-year-old healthy African-American man experienced 2 months of right-eye soreness followed by acute onset of right painful vision loss with binocular, oblique diplopia. Visual acuity was count fingers OD and 20/20 OS. He had a partial, right, pupil-involving cranial nerve III palsy with a right relative afferent pupillary defect and optic disc edema with tortuous vessels.

Purpose: To report the normative dimensions of the frontal nerve (FN) on fat-suppressed suppressed gadolinium (fs-gad) enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Method: A retrospective cohort study of patients who underwent coronal fs-gad T1-weighted MRI. Orbits were excluded if there was unilateral or bilateral pathology of the FN or optic nerve sheath (ONS), incomplete MRI sequences, poor image quality or indiscernible FN on radiological assessment.

A 6-year-old castrated male mixed breed dog presented to the "Louisiana State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital &-anonymized for review" ophthalmology service with marked exophthalmos and lagophthalmos of the left eye and soft tissue swelling medial to the zygomatic arch. A computed tomography (CT) scan was performed, and it revealed a well-marginated, lobulated, homogenously fat density involving the retrobulbar space. Preliminary results of a fine-needle aspirate (FNA) and biopsy were not conclusive, and a modified transfrontal orbitotomy was performed to remove the mass.

Objective: A simple and minimally invasive combined procedure, including transconjunctival orbital fat removal and transcutaneous resected orbital fat injection, was performed based on the anatomical characteristics of the lower eyelids in our young Chinese patients. Our study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of this procedure in our study population.
Methods: In our retrospective study, a total of 183 consecutive patients underwent a combination of traditional transconjunctival blepharoplasty and nanofat grafting between February 2020 and June 2024.

Background: Although optic neuritis (ON) is common in multiple sclerosis (MS), lesions of the optic nerve are not included as an anatomical substrate for dissemination in space and time (DIS and DIT).
Objective: To assess the increase in sensitivity of including MRI lesions of the optic nerve for the diagnosis of MS in patients with ON.
Methods: We included patients consecutively referred with first time, monosymptomatic ON, with no known cause of the ON, who underwent orbital MRI including fat suppressed T2 and T1-sequences with and without gadolinium contrast.
