The outcomes of treatment with intravascular embolization/chemoembolization and regional chemotherapy were analyzed in 862 patients with tumors of the kidney (n = 568), urinary bladder (n = 232) and prostate (n = 62). In renal cancer, the five-year survival rates after mechanical embolization followed by nephrectomy were 51%, those after chemoembolization and surgery, 77%. In inoperable cases, they were 3 and 25%, respectively (p < 0.05). The findings with new procedures of iron drug embolization, followed by local hyperthermia, are much more promising. In 90% after regional arterial chemotherapy, symptoms (pain, dysuria, hemorrhage) of bladder cancer ceased. With embolization, successful hemostasis was performed in 80% of massive bleedings from the bladder tumor and significant reductions of blood loss were achieved after transurethral resection of prostatic carcinoma/adenoma. X-ray endovascular surgical techniques play an important role in the treatment of oncologic urological diseases.

Rationale And Objectives: Pulmonary magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) is an imaging method with proven utility for the exclusion of pulmonary embolism and avoids the need for ionizing radiation and iodinated contrast agents. High-relaxivity gadolinium-based contrast agents (GBCAs), such as gadopiclenol, can be used to reduce the required gadolinium dose for pulmonary MRA. The aim of this study was to compare the contrast enhancement performance of gadopiclenol with an established gadobenate dimeglumine-enhanced pulmonary MRA protocol.

Cardiac allograft vasculopathy (CAV) remains a significant challenge after heart transplantation, necessitating effective surveillance methods. This review centers around the role of coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) in CAV surveillance, given its unique capabilities to visualize and quantify CAV in comparison with other imaging modalities, including invasive coronary angiography and intravascular ultrasound. CCTA has shown good diagnostic performance for detecting and monitoring CAV, exemplified by a higher sensitivity and negative predictive value compared with invasive coronary angiography.

Background: Bioresorbable scaffolds (BRS) were developed to overcome limitations related to late stent failures of drug-eluting stents, but lumen reductions over time after implantation of BRS have been reported. This study aimed to investigate if lesion preparation with a scoring balloon compared with a standard noncompliant balloon minimizes lumen reduction after implantation of a Magmaris BRS assessed with optical coherence tomography and intravascular ultrasound.

Methods: Eighty-two patients with stable angina were randomized in a ratio of 1:1 to lesion preparation with a scoring balloon versus a standard noncompliant balloon before implantation of a Magmaris BRS.

Intravascular Papillary Endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH) are benign vascular lesions rarely described in the pediatric population. We present here the case and the management of a 11-year-old child with a lateral neck mass. The diagnosis of IPEH can be challenging for the clinician and the radiologist as it may mimic other pathologic entities.

Spontaneous coronary artery dissection is a rare cause of unstable angina, myocardial infarction, and sudden cardiac death, particularly among young women and individuals without conventional atherosclerotic risk factors. We present the case of a 43-year-old woman who had spontaneous coronary artery dissection involving the left main with extension to left anterior descending artery and left circumflex artery. She was ultimately managed medically, with a good outcome.
