Nuclei isolated from HeLa cells 15 hr after infection with Ad2 synthesize an RNA transcript approximately 25 KB long, beginning between 0.2 and 0.3 on the physical map and extending to (or close to) the right end of the genome. The majority (60-92%) of the RNA transcribed from fragments between 0.2 and 1.0 is synthesized as part of this large molecule which represents the major product of late Ad2 RNA synthesis. Smaller transcripts are also formed mainly from the left end of the Ad2 genome.

Disease heterogeneity poses a significant challenge for precision diagnostics. Recent work leveraging artificial intelligence has offered promise to dissect this heterogeneity by identifying complex intermediate brain phenotypes, herein called dimensional neuroimaging endophenotypes (DNEs). We advance the argument that these DNEs capture the degree of expression of respective neuroanatomical patterns measured, offering a dimensional neuroanatomical representation for studying disease heterogeneity and similarities of neurologic and neuropsychiatric diseases.

This study investigated the effect of moderate risk level (8 µg/kg) AFB in diet supplemented with or without adsorbents on lactation performance, serum parameters, milk AFM content of healthy lactating cows and the AFM residue exposure risk in different human age groups. Forty late healthy lactating Holstein cows (270 ± 22 d in milk; daily milk yield 21 ± 3.1 kg/d) were randomly assigned to four treatments: control diet without AFB and adsorbents (CON), CON with 8 μg/kg AFB (dry matter basis, AF), AF + 15 g/d adsorbent 1 (AD1), AF + 15 g/d adsorbent 2 (AD2).

We have used the Nanopore long-read sequencing platform to demonstrate how amazingly complex the human adenovirus type 2 (Ad2) transcriptome is with a flexible splicing machinery producing a range of novel mRNAs both from the early and late transcription units. In total we report more than 900 alternatively spliced mRNAs produced from the Ad2 transcriptome whereof more than 850 are novel mRNAs. A surprising finding was that more than 50% of all E1A transcripts extended upstream of the previously defined transcriptional start site.

PTMs such as phosphorylations are usually involved in signal transduction pathways. To investigate the temporal dynamics of phosphoproteome changes upon viral infection, a model system of IMR-90 cells infected with human adenovirus type 2 (Ad2) is used in a time-course quantitative analysis combining titanium dioxide (TiO ) particle enrichment and SILAC-MS. Quantitative data from 1552 phosphorylated sites clustered the highly altered phosphorylated sites to the signaling by rho family GTPases, the actin cytoskeleton signaling, and the cAMP-dependent protein kinase A signaling pathways.

Background: Human adenovirus (Ad) infection leads to the changes of host cell gene expression and biosynthetic processes. Transcriptomics in adenovirus type 2 (Ad2)-infected lung fibroblasts (IMR-90) cells has previously been studied using RNA sequencing. However, this study included only two time points (12 and 24 hpi) using constrained 76 bp long sequencing reads.
