The production of nanoparticles via green methods is a developing study domain due to potential environmental applications. The green synthesis method is very easy, less toxic and eco-friendly when compared to the chemical synthesis method. This study addresses the silver nanoparticle synthesis utilizing the Acorus calamus leaf extract, which was then employed for environmental applications.

Accurately monitoring the content of Cu and Hg in real samples and biological systems is of great significance in ensuring food safety and human health. Therefore, developing efficient methods for simultaneously detecting Cu and Hg is of great significance in living organisms and real samples. In this work, a bifunctional ratiometric and colorimetric fluorescent bio-sensor DPT-1, was designed and synthesized using triphenylamine to specifically and concurrently detect Cu and Hg exhibited varying degrees of fluorescence quenching through "turn-off" fluorescence.

Introduction: The incidence of foreign bodies within the human body is uncommon, with thermometers representing an exceptionally rare subset of such cases. The management of these cases is particularly challenging due to the fragility of mercury thermometers and the toxic nature of their contents.
Case Description: A 16-year-old male adolescent presented with a three-month history of persistent, dull pain localized to the right inguinal region.

The emergence of 2D carbon-based materials has a profound impact on various research areas, such as biosciences, electronics, optics, environmental protection, and monitoring. Mercury, a highly toxic pollutant, can cause severe health complications such as neural toxicity, insomnia, cognitive dysfunction, muscle atrophy, peripheral vision impairment, and emotional instability. A suitable 2D nanostructural interface is required to effectively monitor mercury levels in the environment.

With the persistent rise in global energy demand, the efficient extraction of petroleum resources has become an urgent and critical issue. Polymer flooding technology, widely employed for enhancing crude oil recovery, still lacks an in-depth understanding of the distribution of residual oil within the microscopic pore structure and the associated displacement mechanisms. To address this, a digital pore network model was established based on mercury intrusion experimental data, and pore structure visualization was achieved through 3Dmax software, simulating the oil displacement process under various polymer concentrations, molecular weights, and interfacial tension conditions.
