Background: This study aimed to evaluate the predictive performance of published lamotrigine (LTG) population pharmacokinetic (PPK) models using an external data set of Chinese patients with epilepsy or postneurosurgery.
Methods: In total, 348 concentration measurements from 94 Chinese children and 254 Chinese adults with epilepsy or postneurosurgery were used for external validation. Data on published LTG PPK models were obtained from the literature.

Hypochlorous acid exists as HClO in acidic conditions and as ClO in alkaline conditions, posing a significant challenge for differentiation due to their strong and closely similar oxidative reaction activities. Addressing this challenge, our study presents an asymmetric donor-acceptor-donor' (D-A-D') molecular architecture for the design of a fluorescent probe ( NPs) that demonstrates exceptionally high specificity toward HClO alongside an optimized ratiometric response. The incorporation of the strong electron acceptor 2-(diphenylmethylene)malononitrile (A) modulates the reducing ability of the phenothiazine recognition site, adjusting the probe's oxidation potential to an intermediate level between HClO and ClO.

Bovine embryo resorption is one of the key factors restricting the reproductive efficiency in dairy cattle, which mainly occurs in the early stage of maternal recognition of pregnancy (MRP), causing substantial economic losses to the dairy industry. Macrophages, the most numerous endometrial immune cells in cows during early pregnancy, are critical in developing maternal-fetal immune tolerance. However, the mechanism of their action on the maternal-fetal interface of dairy cows remains unknown.
