The American Lake VA Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Treatment Program provides intensive inpatient treatment for war-related PTSD and associated conditions. As part of a substantial outreach effort to American Indians (AI) in the Northwest U.S., the program significantly modified its admission criteria and treatment to be more clinically and culturally relevant. An all-AI cohort, and then a group that was 50% AI, were admitted. Highlighted are lessons learned regarding: treating "traditional" versus more "assimilated" AI veterans; culture-specific additions of building and utilizing a sweatlodge on the hospital grounds, hiring an AI spiritual leader as a clinical advisor, and promoting attendance at weekend Pow-Wows; the relevance of the "regular" treatment components; and the need for regular debriefings about counter-transference dynamics among staff.

Objective: This study aimed to determine the impact of infrapopliteal (IP) revascularisation establishing in line flow to the wound (IFW) on wound healing in chronic limb threatening ischaemia (CLTI), using a core laboratory assessment for wounds and in line flow.
Methods: The Wound directed Angiosome RevasculaRIsation apprOach to patients with cRitical limb iSchaemia (WARRIORS) multicentre observational study enrolled patients with CLTI with tissue loss undergoing IP revascularisation in Japan, with scheduled two year follow up. The primary outcome measure was complete wound healing, defined as achievement of complete epithelialisation of all wounds without major amputation.

Ferroptosis plays an essential role in the development of diabetes and its complications, suggesting potential therapeutic strategies targeting ferroptosis. Secretory autophagosomes (SAPs) carrying cytoplasmic cargoes have been recognized as novel nano-warrior to defeat diseases. Here, it is hypothesized that SAPs derived from human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) can restore the function of skin repair cells by inhibiting ferroptosis to promote diabetic wound healing.

Wound healing is triggered by inflammation elicited after tissue injury. Mesenchymal cells, specifically fibroblasts, accumulate in the injured tissues, where they engage in tissue repair through the expression and assembly of extracellular matrices that provide a scaffold for cell adhesion, the re-epithelialization of tissues, the production of soluble bioactive mediators that promote cellular recruitment and differentiation, and the regulation of immune responses. If appropriately deployed, these processes promote adaptive repair, resulting in the preservation of the tissue structure and function.

COVID-19 continues to pose a risk to patients with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) due to the high prevalence of comorbidities associated with severe COVID-19 disease. We aimed to characterize perspectives on COVID-19 vaccination among patients with HS. International respondents from 20 online HS support groups were recruited to complete a voluntary, anonymous, online cross-sectional survey from 25 October to 21 November 2021 to obtain perspectives from people with HS who may and may not access healthcare.
