Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between visceral obesity and various disease traits, as well as to identify potential safe targets for the prevention and treatment of visceral obesity.
Study Design: Univariable and multivariable Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses were performed to examine the associations between visceral obesity and 1883 disease traits. Furthermore, we assessed the potential effect of 1684 protein expressions on visceral obesity using the available quantitative trait locus data for plasma proteins.

Background: Neighborhood quality may contribute to child mental health, but families with young children often move, and residential instability has also been tied to adverse mental health. This study's primary goal was to disentangle the effects of neighborhood quality from those of residential instability on mental health in middle childhood.
Methods: 1,946 children from 1,652 families in the Upstate KIDS cohort from New York state, US, were followed prospectively from birth to age 10.

Background: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a significant opportunistic pathogen, especially in hospital-acquired infections, with plasmid-mediated fluoroquinolone resistance posing a major healthcare threat. This research aimed to isolate fluoroquinolone-resistant P. aeruginosa from patients at Aleppo University Hospital, assess the prevalence of fluoroquinolone resistance, confirm molecular identity, identify plasmid-associated resistance genes, and investigate virulence factors.

Background/objectives: Congenital melanocytic naevi (CMN) are a risk factor for melanoma. Melanoma risk is dependent on the congenital phenotype. Our primary aims were to assess the clinical characteristics of CMN that indicate a high risk of neurocutaneous melanosis (NCM) and melanoma in an Australian paediatric population group; to identify patient characteristics and clinical features of CMN that trigger further investigations; and to determine the rate of malignancy and other complications for CMN.

However, its potential distribution remains largely unknown, posing a challenge in developing effective phytosanitary strategies. We used an ensemble model of six machine-learning algorithms including random forest, maxent, support vector machines, classification and regression tree, generalized linear model and boosted regression trees to forecast the potential distribution of A.
