An analysis of observation of 24 patients after partial resection of nonorganic retroperitoneal tumors has shown that 3 years survival of the patients subjected to partial resection of the tumor was equal to (57.7 +/- 10.8)% and 5 years survival was noted in (47.2 +/- 11.1)% of the patients. None of the patients subjected to explorative operations survived more than 3 years.

Recently, a diffuse p16-positive pattern was reported in PanNECs but not in grade 3 PanNETs, suggesting that p16 could help differentiate these entities. Background: Endoscopic treatment for second primary malignancies after esophagectomy has been increasingly performed; however, evidence regarding the outcomes of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for superficial cancer of the remnant esophagus after esophagectomy (SCREE) is limited.
Methods: We retrospectively extracted cases of ESD for SCREE from our institutional database, which included 739 consecutive esophageal ESD procedures performed between January 2009 and September 2023. Information on prior treatment, clinical features of the lesions, and outcomes was evaluated.

Introduction and importance: Extrapelvic endometriosis, confined exclusively to the body of the rectus abdominis muscle, is a rare form of abdominal wall endometriosis. While its etiopathology remains unclear, it is often diagnosed in healthy women who present with atypical symptoms and localization unrelated to any incision site, or in the absence of a history of endometriosis or previous surgery. Presentation of the case: Here, we describe a unique case of intramuscular endometriosis of the rectus abdominis muscle in a healthy 39-year-old Caucasian woman.

Following a comprehensive multidisciplinary discussion and the development of a treatment strategy, we proceeded with endoscopic submucosal dissection for the patient.
