A method of "decoding" deceptive blepharoplasty photographs resulting from head postural changes (or changes in camera planes) between pre- and postoperative photographs is now available. One need only measure changes in the intercanthal axis relative to the horizontal plane of the face. Each degree of alteration of the axis represents 1 mm of true postural change in the margin of the lower lid--disguised by head tilt or downward gaze. This new "tool" can expose and help eliminate undesirable techniques that consistently deform the eye through lowered lid posture and increased scleral show, saddening the appearance of the orbital region and the entire face.

Emotional experiences involve dynamic multisensory perception, yet most EEG research uses unimodal stimuli such as naturalistic scene photographs. Recent research suggests that realistic emotional videos reliably reduce the amplitude of a steady-state visual evoked potential (ssVEP) elicited by a flickering border. Here, we examine the extent to which this video-ssVEP measure compares with the well-established Late Positive Potential (LPP) that is reliably larger for emotional relative to neutral scenes.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the osteogenic performance of allograft particulate bone and cortical bone blocks combined with xenograft under bovine pericardium membranes, for treating different degrees of labial bone defects in the aesthetic zone.
Materials And Methods: Twenty-four patients with bone defects were divided into two groups based on defect severity (Terheyden 1/4 and 2/4 groups). The Terheyden 1/4 group received granular bone grafts alone, while the Terheyden 2/4 group received cortical bone blocks combined with granular bone grafts.

Purpose Of Review: Atraumatic hip pain in children is one of the most common orthopaedic complaints in this population. This review details the important elements of the pediatric hip physical exam and provides an overview of pertinent clinical exam findings in specific diagnoses of common pediatric hip pathology.
Recent Findings: A thorough physical exam is critical for the diagnosis of pediatric hip pathology, as many conditions have exam findings that are very commonly associated with the pathology, if not pathognomonic for the disorder.

Objectives: The aim of this pilot study is to assess the feasibility of using the mobile photographic method (m-health) of teledentistry for oral screening and triaging of older patients living in aged care homes.
Methods: The study took place in 2023 in four aged care facilities in Egypt. Three trained dentists performed clinical oral examinations of the participants and filled in the World Health Organization (WHO) oral health assessment form.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has gained significant traction in medical image analysis, including dentistry, aiding clinicians in making timely and accurate diagnoses. Radiographs, such as orthopantomograms (OPGs) and intraoral radiographs, along with clinical photographs, are the primary imaging modalities employed for AI-powered analysis in the dental field. In this review, we discuss the most recent research and product developments concerning the clinical application of AI as a visual aid in dentistry and introduce the concept of Observational Diagnostics (ODs) as a structured method to standardise image analysis.
