Background: Relapse following a first episode of schizophrenia (FES) is common and often results in serious adverse psychosocial consequences. Treatment non-adherence is a key risk factor for relapse, but why relapse occurs despite antipsychotic treatment adherence remains unclear. This study examined the differences in FES psychopathology trajectories over 24-months with assured long-acting injectable antipsychotic (LAIA) treatment, to control for treatment adherence between those who relapsed and those who did not and what moderates these group differences.

Objectives: Instilling the principles of ethical and responsible medical research is critical for educating the next generation of clinical researchers. We developed a responsible conduct of research (RCR) workshop and associated curriculum for undergraduate trainees in a quantitative clinical research program.
Methods: Topics in this 7-module RCR workshop are relevant to undergraduate trainees in quantitative fields, many of whom are learning about these concepts for the first time.

The anterolateral thigh (ALT) flap is a commonly used donor site for reconstructive surger, especially in head and neck reconstructions. The flap's success is primarily determined by the quality and quantity of its perforating vessels, which is why clinicians typically prefer harvesting from a healthy leg with intact vascular anatomy. Poliomyelitis typically causes unilateral lower limb paralysis, resulting in muscle atrophy and deformities.
