This single-center retrospective study was designed to evaluate the use of basiliximab as an alternative rescue maintenance immunosuppression in situations where standard maintenance immunosuppression is not tolerated after a pancreas transplant. All pancreas transplants performed between January 11, 2006, and January 6, 2022, were reviewed. All recipients received rabbit antithymocyte globulin (rATG) induction with tacrolimus + sirolimus maintenance for simultaneous pancreas and kidney (SPK) and additional low-dose mycophenolic acid for pancreas transplant alone (PTA).

The essential yeast protein GPN-loop GTPase 1 (Npa3) plays a critical role in RNA polymerase II (RNAPII) assembly and subsequent nuclear import. We previously identified a synthetic lethal interaction between a mutant lacking the carboxy-terminal 106-amino acid tail of Npa3 (npa3ΔC) and a bud27Δ mutant. As the prefoldin-like Bud27 protein participates in ribosome biogenesis and translation, we hypothesized that Npa3 may also regulate these biological processes.

Since ganodermanontriol (GDNT) has been identified as a potential antineoplastic agent, its role in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is investigated in this study.
