This was assessed by sequencing of 16S rDNA in fecal samples from cohorts representing these populations. Sialolithiasis is a disorder of the salivary glands characterized by the presence of mineralized structures. The aim of this article is to contribute to the understanding of the etiopathogenesis of sialolithiasis based on data reported in the literature and the interpretation of scanning electron microscopic (SEM), histopathologic, fluorescence, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopic (EDX) studies. Pelvic location is extremely rare, usually associated with history of IUD contraception and doesn't have specific signs. Pelvic actinomycosis diagnosis may be confused with pelvic gynecologic malignancies or abscess.
