A case of multifocal leiomyosarcoma of the stomach, duodenum and jejunum presenting as an intestinal occlusion for small bowel intussusception is reported. Complete surgical excision of the tumour was not possible due to the wide dissemination. The patient died two months later for haemorrhage from an ulcerated gastric localization. Surgical and prognostic implications of disseminated gastrointestinal leiomyosarcoma are briefly discussed through a literature review.

Background: Surgery is the best way to cure the retroperitoneal leiomyosarcoma (RLMS), and there is currently no prediction model on RLMS after surgical resection. The objective of this study was to develop a nomogram to predict the overall survival (OS) of patients with RLMS after surgical resection.
Methods: Patients who underwent surgical resection from September 2010 to December 2020 were included.

The greater and lesser omenta are fused peritoneal folds that largely delimit the omental bursa (lesser peritoneal cavity). The omental bursa is a potential space within the abdominal cavity that communicates with the greater peritoneal cavity via the omental (epiploic) foramen: it is subdivided into the omental vestibule, caudal omental recess, and splenic recess. Aims of this retrospective case series study were to describe the frequencies of CT findings of dogs with confirmed inflammatory or neoplastic disease of the omenta, omental bursa, or both.

Background: Although surgery plays a key role in the treatment of the primary retroperitoneal sarcoma (RPS), there remain few reports on the primary multifocal RPS.
Aims: This study aimed to identify the prognostic factors for the primary multifocal RPS in an effort to optimize the clinical management of this malignancy.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on a cohort of 319 primary RPS patients who underwent radical resection from 2009 to 2021, with post-operative recurrence as the primary endpoint of this study.

There is sparse published information on computed tomographic (CT) characteristics of canine gastrointestinal tumors. The purposes of this multi-center, retrospective, descriptive study were to describe the CT features of histologically-confirmed canine gastrointestinal spindle cell, epithelial, and round cell tumors and, when available, describe the corresponding ultrasound findings. The inclusion criteria were as follows: availability of pre-and post-contrast CT study, and a histopathological diagnosis of the lesions.
