Rationale: Traumatic spinal epidural hematoma (SEH) is a rare clinical condition. Here, we present an extraordinary case of recurrent SEH accompanied by thoracolumbar spine fractures resulting from minor trauma, and provide evidence-based recommendations for the surgical management strategies in this unique scenario.
Patient Concerns: A 71-year-old female patient presented with back pain after a fall.

Background: Pneumatosis is a general term used to designate the presence of spontaneous air or gas leaks into the body's compartments.
Purpose: In this paper, we provide an overview of gas originating from different sites and present the most common routes by which air may escape free to surrounding or distant tissues.
Methods: On the basis of 45 interesting clinical cases, we discuss the CT imaging characteristics of thoracic and spinal pneumatosis, better known as pneumomediastinum and pneumorrhachis.

Background And Purpose: Spinal lesions are increasingly recognized as an integral part of the child abuse spectrum; however, the description of lesions, their biomechanics, true incidence, clinical impact, and medicolegal implications are poorly understood.
Material And Methods: We report from the literature and our personal experience on abusive spinal lesions (ASL) in children under 3 years, compared with cases of abusive head injuries (AHI) without spinal lesions on the one hand and with accidental spinal lesions on the other.
Results: Between 2002 and 2021, we collected 12 observations of ASL, 4 male and 8 female.
