We report a significantly increased prevalence of antiribosomal P protein antibodies in Malaysian Chinese patients (38%) with SLE compared to white Caucasian (13%) and Afro-Caribbean (20%) patients. The increased prevalence was not due to a generalized increase in autoantibody production because anti-dsDNA and anti-SSA antibodies were present in comparable frequencies in the three ethnic groups while anti-Sm and anti-SSB antibodies were rarely found in the Malaysian Chinese patients.

Rationale And Objectives: Neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus (NPSLE) is one of the most severe complications of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and its early biomarkers and immune mechanisms remain unclear. This study utilizes Resting-State functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) to explore early neuroimaging biomarkers and potential immune mechanisms of brain injury in SLE, with a particular focus on anti-ribosomal P protein antibody (ARPA).
Materials And Methods: A total of 47 SLE patients and 33 healthy controls (HCs) underwent rs-fMRI.

To analyze the clinical characteristics of cardiovascular disease in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients and identify risk factors for predicting the occurrence of cardiovascular disease in SLE patients. Clinical data of 110 SLE patients were randomly selected from the Tongde Hospital of Zhejiang Province clinical medical record database, including 50 patients with cardiovascular disease and 60 patients without. Clinical data, blood biochemistry indicators, antibody detection results, and complement levels were collected.

Objective: Antinuclear antibodies (ANA) staining patterns can provide useful information in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). In our study, we examined the frequency of ANA staining patterns in disease-related features in childhood-onset SLE patients.
Methods: ANA and its staining patterns were assessed in childhood-onset SLE patients.

Monogenic lupus is a rare variant of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) that develops in patients with a single gene disorder. Early complement component deficiencies were the first forms of monogenic lupus to be described, and C1Q gene mutations are one of the most common forms. C1QA complement deficiency has been reported to occur usually due to biallelic variants in C1QA gene, and compound heterozygous variants in C1QA gene have rarely been reported.
