Twenty-seven pregnant women with cicatrices on the uterus after cesarean section had US-monitored spontaneous deliveries with calypsol analgesia (the drug was permanently i.v. infused). The intactness of the uterine walls in the postpartum period was checked up by bicontrast ultrasonic scanning and hysteroscopy.
