102 myogenous tumours and 12 unchanged areas of the uterine wall were studied histologically, morphometrically, stereometrically, microspectrophotometrically and electron microscopically. The differential-diagnostic importance of the mitotic activity, nuclear DNA content, volume proportion of the myofibrillar material in comparison with the cell density and volume proportion of nuclei is shown.

Introduction: The humeral head is the second most common site for osteonecrosis but its epidemiology is poorly described. This study aimed to better understand its treatment in the United States by 1) evaluating total operative procedures with rates normalized to the annual surgical volume; 2) determining trends of non-joint preserving (shoulder arthroplasty) vs. joint preserving procedures; and 3) quantifying rates of operative techniques in different aged cohorts (<50 vs.

Background: Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is an emerging treatment option for small, low-risk papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate and compare the efficacy and safety profiles of RFA for primary T1a vs. T1b PTC.

Background: White matter (WM) is a principal component of the human brain, forming the structural basis for neural transmission between cortico-cortical and subcortical structures. The impairment of WM integrity is closely associated with the aging process, manifesting as the reorganization of brain networks based on graph theoretical analysis of complex networks and increased volume of white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) in imaging studies.

Methods: This study investigated changes in the robustness of WM brain networks during aging and assessed their correlation with WMHs.

: Vestibular symptoms can severely affect patients with vestibular schwannomas (VSs). Studies assessing vestibular symptoms beyond clinical routine assessment in patients with VS treated by stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) are scarce. Therefore, we employed the standardized questionnaire Dizziness Handicap Inventory (DHI) to systematically evaluate vestibular symptoms prior to and after SRS.
