Fulminant pulmonary edema developed after rapid lung reexpansion following diaphragmatic herniorrhaphy in a cat. Despite medical treatment, the cat died. Pulmonary edema is a potential complication of lung reexpansion achieved by negative intrathoracic pressure or positive-pressure ventilation. Slow expansion of a collapsed lung over a 12-hour period may help prevent this devastating complication.

Objective: The study aimed to evaluate the application value of computed tomography (CT) three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction technology in identifying benign and malignant lung nodules and characterizing the distribution of the nodules.
Methods: CT 3D reconstruction was performed for lung nodules. Pathological results were used as the gold standard to compare the detection rates of various lung nodule signs between conventional chest CT scanning and CT 3D reconstruction techniques.

Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) secondary to chlorine gas inhalation is a rare yet critical condition that can lead to severe respiratory failure if not managed promptly. This case report presents a 43-year-old male who developed ARDS after accidental exposure to chlorine gas during pool maintenance. The patient's condition deteriorated rapidly, with symptoms progressing to acute pulmonary edema and severe hypoxemia, requiring immediate transfer to the intensive care unit (ICU).

Accumulation of damaged biomolecules in body tissues is the primary cause of aging and age-related chronic diseases. Since this damage often occurs spontaneously, it has traditionally been regarded as untreatable, with typical therapeutic strategies targeting genes or enzymes being ineffective in this domain. In this report, we demonstrate that an antibody targeting the isoDGR damage motif in lung tissue can guide immune clearance of harmful damaged proteins in vivo, effectively reducing age-linked lung inflammation.
