Calcium Homeostasis in the human body is regulated by hormones, including parathyroid hormone and vitamin D3. Dysfunction in the form of hypoparathyroidism causes hypocalcaemia. In patients treated for primary hypoparathyroidism with activated vitamin D replacement, iatrogenic hypercalcaemia can occur.

Objectives: Sialendoscopy has become the standard treatment for sialolithiasis; however, larger submandibular calculi may require an incisional technique. This study describes and evaluates an intraoral microscopic-assisted sialolithotomy (IMAS) as a refined submandibular stone extraction technique.
Methods: Retrospective case series of 64 submandibular IMAS procedures operated at a tertiary university center and private hospital from 2015 to 2021 were evaluated.

While the skin is a common target organ for sarcoidosis, cutaneous granulomatous vasculitis is rare among patients with sarcoidosis. Due to the lack of detailed studies on cutaneous sarcoid vasculitis, both dermatologists and pathologists remain unfamiliar with this rare but important vasculitic disorder. We clinicopathologically evaluated eight cases with biopsy-proven cutaneous vasculitis and cutaneous sarcoidosis and analyzed morphologic changes in the process of vasculitis for both small vessels and muscular vessels in detail.
