Mid-infrared dual-comb spectroscopy offers significant advantages by combining the high sensitivity of mid-infrared spectroscopy with the high spectral resolution and rapid acquisition of the dual-comb method. However, its effective resolution, constrained by the inherent comb line spacing, hinders its ability to resolve narrow absorption features, common in critical applications such as sub-Doppler spectroscopy, low-pressure gas analysis, and construction of the atmospheric profile. To address this challenge, we present a synchronous offset frequency tuning method for the mid-infrared dual-comb system to improve effective resolution far beyond comb line spacing.

The continuous evolution of information technology underscores the growing emphasis on data security. In the realm of medical imaging, various diagnostic images represent the privacy of individuals, and the potential repercussions of their unauthorized disclosure are substantial. Therefore, this study introduces a novel chaotic system (TLCMCML) and employs it to propose a multi-image medical image encryption algorithm.

Recently acquired memories are reactivated in the hippocampus during sleep, an initial step for their consolidation. This process is concomitant with the hippocampal reactivation of previous memories, posing the problem of how to prevent interference between older and recent, initially labile, memory traces. Theoretical work has suggested that consolidating multiple memories while minimizing interference can be achieved by randomly interleaving their reactivation.

Science of Learning Strategy Series: Article 6, Elaboration.

The science of learning (learning science) is an interprofessional field that concerns itself with how the brain learns and remembers important information. Learning science has compiled a set of evidence-based strategies, such as distributed practice, retrieval practice, and interleaving, which are quite relevant to continuing professional development. Spreading out study and practice separated by cognitive breaks (distributed practice), testing oneself to check mastery and memory of previously learned information (retrieval practice), and mixing the learning of separate but associated information (interleaving) represent strategies that are underutilized in continuing professional development.

Optimizing hardware configuration for solar powered energy management in battery ultracapacitor hybrid electric vehicles.

Sci Rep

Associate Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Vignan Foundation for Science Technology & Research, Guntur, 522017, India.

The design and construction of an adaptive energy management system incorporating a 12 V-2 Ah battery and a 1F ultracapacitor for solar powered hybrid electric vehicles are presented in this paper. The primary storage battery's longevity and overall system efficiency are intended to be increased by the EMS's ability to forecast driving circumstances and lessen the load on it. The method optimizes power distribution among numerous energy storage sources by using sophisticated hardware configurations.
