CdZnTe (CZT) has garnered substantial attention due to its outstanding performance in room-temperature semiconductor radiation detectors, where carrier transport properties are critical for assessing the detector performance. However, due to the complexities of crystal growth, CZT is prone to defects that affect carrier lifetime and mobility. To investigate how defects affect nonequilibrium carrier transport, nonadiabatic molecular dynamics (NAMD) is employed to examine six types of intrinsic defects and their impact on electron-hole (e-h) recombination.

Mitochondria, the cellular powerhouses, are pivotal to neuronal function and health, particularly through their role in regulating synaptic structure and function. Spine reprogramming, which underlies synapse development, depends heavily on mitochondrial dynamics-such as biogenesis, fission, fusion, and mitophagy as well as functions including ATP production, calcium (Ca) regulation, and retrograde signaling. Mitochondria supply the energy necessary for assisting synapse development and plasticity, while also regulating intracellular Ca homeostasis to prevent excitotoxicity and support synaptic neurotransmission.

Studies on triaxial contact stresses and asphalt pavement rutting are of great significance for traffic safety and the durability of the asphalt pavement. Our new approach considers more evaluating indicators by investigating compressive creep, vertical, and longitudinal permanent deformation to analyse asphalt pavement rutting under triaxial contact stress during typical driving conditions. For this purpose, firstly sophisticated three-dimensional finite element models encompassing the truck-bus tire and asphalt pavement temperature are developed.

Climate models simulate a wide range of temperatures in the Arctic. Here we investigate one of the main drivers of changes in surface temperature: the net surface heat flux in the models. We show that in the winter months of the dark Arctic, there is a more than two-fold difference in the net surface heat fluxes among the models, and this difference is dominated by the downward infrared radiation from clouds.

This paper presents a novel approach to modeling and controlling a solar photovoltaic conversion system(SPCS) that operates under real-time weather conditions. The primary contribution is the introduction of an uncertain model, which has not been published before, simulating the SPCS's actual functioning. The proposed robust control strategy involves two stages: first, modifying the standard Perturb and Observe (P&O) algorithm to generate an optimal reference voltage using real-time measurements of temperature, solar irradiance, and wind speed.
