In the present study, the authors show that 1, 25 (OH)2 D3 given to hemodialyzed patients taking Al (OH)3, increased their plasma concentrations of Al. Two mechanism can explain this increase: increased intestinal absorption or decreased tissue storage of Al.

Public expenditure for the improvement of maternal health is crucial in addressing the major social and demographic challenges in developing countries like India. Accordingly, the Government of India initiated the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) in 2005 as a flagship conditional cash transfer scheme to encourage institutional delivery in the country. While the provisions under the JSY remain uniform throughout the country, there are apprehensions that the impact would differ across the states as well as between the rural and urban setups depending on varied socio-economic conditions and local level dynamics.

Purpose: Craniopharyngiomas are histologically benign tumors, but their proximity to vital neurovascular structures can significantly deteriorate functional prognoses and severely restrict patients' social interaction and activity. We retrospectively identified risk factors related to the functional prognoses in patients with craniopharyngioma treated at our center.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 40 patients who underwent surgery for craniopharyngioma and follow-up at our institution between 2003 and 2022.

Apigenin, a dietary flavonoid with notable anti-cancer properties, has emerged as a promising candidate for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimer's disease (AD). While extensively studied for its ability to modulate key molecular pathways in cancers, apigenin also exerts neuroprotective effects by reducing neuroinflammation, protecting neurons from oxidative stress, and enhancing neuronal survival and synaptic plasticity. This dual functionality makes apigenin an intriguing therapeutic option for diseases like AD, where kinase dysregulation plays a central role.

Purpose Of Review: The exposome refers to the total environmental exposures a person encounters throughout life, and its relationship with human health is increasingly studied. This non-systematic review focuses on recent research investigating the effects of environmental factors-such as air pollution, noise, greenspace, neighborhood walkability, and metallic pollutants-on atherosclerosis, a major cause of cardiovascular disease.
Recent Findings: Studies show that long-term exposure to airborne particulate matter can impair endothelial function and elevate adhesion molecule levels, leading to vascular damage.
