The influence of two commonly used sulphonate buffers, PIPES and MES, on the in vitro assembly of bovine brain microtubule protein was examined. Microtubule assembly was monitored by turbimetry and, after centrifugation, the polymerised protein was analysed by SDS-PAGE and western blotting. Assembly in MES when compared with PIPES resulted in a higher recovery of microtubule proteins at both pH 6.4 and pH 6.9 and in an altered protein composition. The buffer pH affected the total amount of protein polymerised but did not significantly affect the protein composition. At both pH conditions the recovery of HMW-MAPs was markedly increased in MES buffer and this increase was mostly due to an increase in the amount of MAP1.

A simple LC method has been developed and validated for estimating budesonide (epimer B + A) and formoterol fumarate dihydrate in dry powder inhalation. The development results of this study make it very significant. The degradation and process impurities in EP and ChP were identified in addition to budesonide and formoterol fumarate.

Herein, we discuss the idea that fluorescent materials/molecules should logically show potential photoelectrochemistry (PEC) activity, and, in particular, the PEC of fluorescent small molecules (previously usually acting only as dye sensitizers for conventional semiconductors) is explored. After examining the PEC activities of some typical inorganic or organic fluorescent materials/molecules and by adopting methyl violet (MV) with the highest PEC activity among the examined fluorescent small molecules, a new and efficient (MV/Au nanoparticles (AuNPs))/fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) photoanode without conventional semiconductor(s) is prepared by layer-by-layer alternating the electrodeposition of AuNPs and the adsorption of MV. A bilirubin oxidase (BOD)/CuCoO/FTO bio-photocathode is prepared by electrodeposition, calcination and cast-coating.

Though nanozymes are becoming promising alternatives to natural enzymes due to their superior properties, constructing nanozyme with high specificity is still a great challenge. Herein, with Cu as an active site and adenine as a ligand, Adenine-Cu-PO is synthesized in phosphate-buffered saline. As an oxidase mimic, Adenine-Cu-PO could selectively catalyze oxidation of ascorbic acid (AA) to dehydroascorbic acid, but not universal substrates (3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB), 2,2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) and 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DP)), small biomolecules (dopamine, glutathione, glucose, galactose), other vitamins (vitamin A acid, vitamin B, vitamin K) and even dithiothreitol (a common interference of AA).

Anionic thermo- and pH-responsive copolymers were synthesized by photoiniferter reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerization (PI-RAFT). The thermo-responsive properties were provided by oligo(ethylene glycol)-based macromonomer units containing hydrophilic and hydrophobic moieties. The pH-responsive properties were enabled by the addition of 5-20 mol% of strong (2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic) and weak (methacrylic) acids.

Objective: To analyze the efficacy and tolerability of aceclofenac in the treatment of patients with acute non-specific musculoskeletal pain in the lower back (ANBP) compared with other NSAIDs (dexketoprofen, nimesulide and lornoxicam), as well as to assess the impact of NSAIDs therapy on the relative risk of recurrence and chronicity of this pathology.
Material And Methods: The study involved 80 patients (47 women and 33 men), average age 52.6 [47.
