Unlabelled: We have developed novel and sustainable homogeneous catalysts employing Glutamic acid (Glu) as a biodegradable and eco-friendly organocatalyst for the synthesis of -(4-oxo-2-phenyl-1,2-dihydroquinazolin-3(4)-yl)isonicotinamide derivatives (-) via multicomponent reactions (MCRs) of isatoic anhydride, isoniazid and heteroaromatic/aromatic aldehyde in ethanol on oil bath stirring at 60 °C. Selected final product homogeneity was examined by various spectroscopic techniques such as C-, H- NMR, FT-IR and LC-MS. For the first time, herein investigated electrochemical behavior of selected derivatives (-) using cyclic voltammetry method.

Introduction: As China is scaling up tuberculosis preventive therapy (TPT) for people living with HIV (PLHIV) in its national programmes, the objective of this study was to evaluate the feasibility and performance of 6-month regimen of isoniazid monotherapy (6H) in terms of preventive therapy acceptance, adherence, effectiveness and outcomes in minority areas with a high burden of tuberculosis (TB) and HIV/AIDS.

Method: A prospective observational cohort study was initiated among 461 PLHIV in Butuo County after ruling out active TB (ATB) and followed up for up to 3 years to collect incidence events in real-world settings. TB incidence and protective rates were calculated.

Objective: To describe the outcome indicators of implementing a cascade of care for latent Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection in people living with the human immunodeficiency virus.

Method: Cross-sectional study, carried out with people living with HIV, from 2022 to 2024, in a reference service in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. It occurred after the implementation of the following work process: Identification of people at risk for investigation of Latent Tuberculosis Infection (LTBI); Test for LTBI; Exclusion of active TB cases; Treatment for LTBI; Adherence to treatment; and Completion of treatment.

Introduction: BCG therapy is the standard treatment for bladder tumors that do not infiltrate smooth muscle. Fluoroquinolones for antibiotic prophylaxis are recommended to lessen the risk of BCG infection (BCGitis) with respiratory involvement.

Case Report: This study describes five cases of BCGitis in males, with a median age of 71years [range: 66-77years] having undergone ofloxacin prophylaxis during their BCG therapy for a non-invasive bladder tumor (grade pT1a).
