In this experiment, rats were injected intraperitoneally with 6 mg/kg methamphetamine (MAP) hydrochloride or the same volume of saline once daily for 14 days. Rats were decapitated after a 1-day, 4-day or 10-day withdrawal period. The number and affinity of [3H]mazindol binding sites in the striatum were measured. Their number in the MAP group decreased as compared with controls after a 1-day withdrawal period, but returned to the control level after a 4-day and 10-day withdrawal period. These results are believed to show that the decrease in dopamine uptake sites after repeated administration of MAP is transient and does not contribute to MAP-induced behavioral sensitization.

Background: Breastfeeding is the cornerstone of a newborn's nutrition, containing crucial nutritional components. While a substantial body of research focuses on mothers, there is limited understanding regarding effective strategies to engage fathers in promoting breastfeeding practices. Therefore, this quasi-experimental study investigated a community-based intervention to improve breastfeeding exclusivity and initiation rates by targeting fathers in breastfeeding education.

Background: SIREN is a healthcare worker cohort study aiming to determine COVID-19 incidence, duration of immunity and vaccine effectiveness across 135 NHS organisations in four UK nations. Conducting an intensive prospective cohort study during a pandemic was challenging. We designed an evolving retention programme, informed by emerging evidence on best practice.

One-year data from the ongoing BeyoND study (NCT02726386) showed that the ND0612 regimen was safe and well tolerated and provided a sustained ≥2-h improvement in daily Good ON-time through 12 months of treatment.
Methods: We describe 3-year safety and efficacy outcomes for participants who completed 12 months of ND0612 treatment in the core study period and entered the extension phase.

Introduction: Despite the existing reports on mistreatment and disrespectful maternal care, few studies have investigated interventions to mitigate this issue. The present study aims to assess the impact of consulting midwives on maternal rights charter on perception of respectful maternity care and postpartum blues among postpartum women in two hospitals in southern Iran.
Methodology: This quasi-experimental study was conducted on 437 postpartum women (217 mothers before the intervention and 220 mothers after the intervention) and 44 midwives working in the maternity ward of two hospitals affiliated to Bushehr University of Medical Sciences in 2023-2024.

Objective: To delineate, within the framework of current clinical practice and criteria, the sustainability of first-line immuno-suppressive treatment discontinuation in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and the impact of residual disease in remission on long-term drug-free (DF) outcomes.
Methods: RA patients, referring to the Pavia early arthritis clinic (EAC) between 2009 and 2021 and achieving remission after Disease Activity Score-driven methotrexate (MTX) monotherapy, were recruited. Eligible patients underwent DF follow-up at 3-month intervals over 5 years after MTX discontinuation.
