- A study analyzed the effects of lomitapide on 38 women and 37 men with HoFH, finding similar LDL reduction rates for both sexes, although women showed a greater reduction at six months.
- Women experienced more gastrointestinal side effects from the treatment, but overall, lomitapide was similarly effective for both genders in reducing cholesterol without significant differences in cardiovascular event outcomes.

Introduction: Although the importance of leader-member relationships in teamwork is acknowledged in literature, a deeper understanding of this relationship is lacking, especially in rural areas. The impact of leader-member relationships on team outcomes is especially important in rural Chinese hospitals as improving teamwork forms a national health reform priority in these hospitals. This study investigates how leader-member relationships (ie leader-member perceived similarity and power distance orientation) influence team outcomes (ie perceived quality of care and job satisfaction) via speaking up and silence.

In psychotherapy, verbal communication is central to the therapeutic process. However, when patients remain silent, it can serve various functions, such as reflecting more deeply or hesitating to elaborate on a topic. This article uses conversation analysis to examine a specific context in which silence occurs: After a patient has concluded his/her narrative, both the therapist and the patient resist the turn allocation by the respective other, resulting in mutual silence.
