Quantum computing presents a promising avenue for solving complex problems, particularly in quantum chemistry, where it could accelerate the computation of molecular properties and excited states. This work focuses on computing excitation energies with hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for near-term quantum devices, combining the quantum linear response (qLR) method with a polarizable embedding (PE) environment. We employ the self-consistent operator manifold of quantum linear response (q-sc-LR) on top of a unitary coupled cluster (UCC) wave function in combination with a Davidson solver.

Emerging research indicates that dehumanization may occur in couples with serious consequences; however, this research is in its infancy, and there is a need to integrate dehumanization perspectives with key theories of intimate relationships to best understand this phenomenon. Drawing on work on individuation in couples, we present an integrated framework of dehumanizing deindividuation that is characterized by derogation (viewing a partner with contempt), disregard (ignoring or overlooking a partner), and denial of autonomy (restricting a partner's self-determination). We present data from two samples highlighting the reliability and validity of a new measure, the Dehumanizing Deindividuation in Couples (DDC) scale, which was internally consistent and had excellent construct replicability.

In adaptive beamforming, the array signal processing adjusts its sensor delays and weights based on the incoming data. In conventional beamforming, these parameters are instead given from a predefined model. Adaptive beamformers can improve measurement precision by dynamically rejecting spatial interference.

Background: Accurate segmentation of rib fractures represents a pivotal procedure within surgical interventions. This meticulous process not only mitigates the likelihood of postoperative complications but also facilitates expedited patient recuperation. However, rib fractures in computed tomography (CT) images exhibit an uneven morphology and are not fixed in position, posing difficulties in segmenting fractures.

The excessive use of organophosphorus pesticides poses a substantial threat to both human health and the environment. Consequently, there is an urgent need for new methods that can quickly degrade and sensitively detect these compounds. A versatile nanozyme based on the biomimetic principle is an effective strategy to solve this problem.
