Background: Moral distress is reported to be a critical force contributing to intensifying rates of anxiety, depression and burnout experienced by healthcare workers. In this paper, we examine the moral dilemmas and ensuing distress personally and collectively experienced by healthcare workers while caring for patients during the pandemic.
Methods: Data are drawn from free-text responses from a cross-sectional national online survey of Australian healthcare workers about the patient care challenges they faced.

Purpose: This article describes the experience of establishing a new parent and baby mental health unit, including challenges in the first year of operation. The article aims to narrate the experience for the purpose of informing other new mental health services and contributing to service development knowledge.
Description: The analogy of the early infancy period is used to highlight the parallel process of adjustment, confidence and identity formation occurring as part of the unit development and by the parents who are admitted.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFThis article proposes a reading of Sophie de Grouchy's moral, political, and economic thought as embedded in the tradition of natural jurisprudence, adapted to the context of the French First Republic. A close reading of her French translation of Adam Smith's Theory of Moral Sentiment and her eight Letters on Sympathy confirms that there are points to be made by reading her works in the context of the language of early modern natural law. This sheds light on the important question of how to read revolutionary republicanism emanating from multiple traditions other than the neo-Roman discourse of non-domination.
