Background: Microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) patients are the dominant population in immune checkpoint blockade treatments, while more than half of them could not benefit from single-agent immunotherapy. We tried to identify the biomarker of MSI-H CRC and explore its role and mechanism in anti-PD-1 treatments. Tumor-specific MHC-II was linked to a better response to anti-PD-1 in MSI-H CRC and CD74 promoted assembly and transport of HLA-DR dimers.

The European Commission authorized the use of dried yellow mealworm (Tenebrio molitor - TM) as a food ingredient under Regulation EU 2021/882. As TM emerges as an important allergen source, sensitization and allergy to TM in various populations need investigation. The aim of this study was to assess the incidence of sensitization to TM before its introduction as a food ingredient in Poland, as well as checking the occurrence of co-sensitivity to TM and other invertebrate allergenic extracts and molecules.

BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi) represent a cornerstone in melanoma therapy due to their high efficacy. However, the emergence of resistance causes a significant challenge to their clinical utility. This study aims to investigate the potential of diclofenac as a sensitizer for BRAFi therapy in melanoma and to elucidate its underlying mechanism.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small, non-coding RNAs that regulate the expression level of the target genes in the cell. Breast cancer is responsible for the majority of cancer-related deaths among women globally. It has been proven that deregulated miRNAs may play an essential role in the progression of breast cancer.

Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Madison, WI, USA.

Background: Hyperphosphorylation of tau protein underlies the accumulation of neurofibrillary tangles (NFT) in the brain, a neuropathological hallmark of Alzheimer's Disease (AD). Braak stages, which reflect the regional spread of NFTs, are defined by NFT presence in the entorhinal cortex (Stages I and II), limbic regions including the hippocampus (III and IV), and neocortex (V and VI). Diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) is a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technique that sensitizes the MRI signal to the random motion of water molecules and has shown promise for detecting AD-related microstructural brain changes, including NFT presence.
