The study of the capsular insertions of the synovial membrane in the intercondylar fossa of the knee yielded information on the much debated anatomy of this area. In the cranial region, the insertions are found on the axial surface of each condyle, strengthening the dorsal attachment of the cruciate ligaments but remaining separate from these structures. In contrast, more caudalward, the cruciate ligaments, which are partly bordered by synovial lods recesses, are embedded in the posterior adipose mass and distinct from the bridging passage at a distance from the capsula.

Cartilage defects caused by joint diseases are difficult to treat clinically. Tissue engineering materials provide a new means to promote the repair of cartilage defects. The purpose of this study is to design a novel scaffold of porous magnesium alloy loaded with icariin and sustained release in order to explore the effect and possible mechanism of this scaffold in repairing SD rat knee articular cartilage defect.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to find a new method for femoral side preservation positioning in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction and test the accuracy and precision of this method.
Method: Fifty patients with isolated ACL rupture (42 males and 8 females) who underwent single-bundle ACL reconstruction in our hospital between July 2022 and July 2023 were included. The lowest point of the cartilage margin of the lateral wall of the intercontinental fossa and the tibial plateau plumb line at 120° of knee flexion were used as the anatomical landmarks for positioning of the femoral tunnel for ACL reconstruction surgery.

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of intercondylar fossa plasty in preventing intercondylar fossa impingement syndrome after high tibial osteotomy.
Methods: From August 2018 to August 2020, 84 patients with inverted knee osteoarthritis were treated by arthroscopy combined with high tibial osteotomy, and were divided into two groups with 42 cases in each group according to different surgical methods. In the intercondylar fossa plasty group, there were 13 males and 29 females, age ranged from 52 to 67 years old with an average of(58.

Background: Prosthetic-joint infection (PJI) is one of the severest complications after arthroplasty. However, antibiotics are not effective in the bacteria in biofilm outside the prosthetic-joint. Antimicrobial peptides have an efficient antimicrobial activity in compared with conventional antibiotics.

Background: A mechanical block in the elbow due to osteophytes in the olecranon fossa is a common clinical symptom for elbow stiffness.
Purpose/hypothesis: This study aims to understand the biomechanical characteristics or changes in the stiff elbow in the resting (or neutral) and swing position of the arm using a cadaveric model. The hypotheses included the following: (1) a difference exists in the articular contact pressure of the elbow by comparing the non-stiff and stiff models in in vivo studies; (2) the degree of stiffness would affect the increase of the joint loading of the elbow.
