A fifty-two-year-old woman with angina pectoris due to coronary-subclavian steal syndrome through a left internal mammary artery graft placed distal to a left anterior descending artery stenosis is presented. Retrograde flow through the mammary artery graft due to severe left subclavian stenosis was observed angiographically. Accordingly, left subclavian balloon angioplasty was performed, restoring normal antegrade flow through the internal mammary artery graft and resulting in resolution of the patient's symptoms. The patient was subsequently discharged with no evidence of angina. Carotid-subclavian bypass surgery was avoided, reducing patient discomfort, procedural risk, and expense.

Reconstructed breast with silicone breast implants (SBIs) after nipple-sparing mastectomy (NSM) provides high patient satisfaction from a cosmetic point of view, but low patient satisfaction with respect to hypoesthesia of the reconstructed breast, and reinnervation is required. Currently, few reports are available on reinnervation in breast reconstruction with implants, and detailed data on desensitization of reconstructed breasts are lacking. Therefore, we examined perceptual data after NSM with respect to reinnervation.

The unique structure and location of the internal thoracic artery make it an ideal conduit for coronary artery bypass grafting surgery and autologous breast reconstruction. Variants with different characteristics have the potential to impact surgical success. This report presents a female body donor with a novel bilateral variation of the internal thoracic artery.

In coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), the use of the left internal mammary artery (LIMA) is considered the gold standard. The conventional technique of using electrocautery for LIMA harvesting is associated with adverse events. In this study, we used a different technique that combined carbon dioxide with electrocautery to harvest LIMA and compared it with the conventional electrocautery method.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess safety and efficiency of multiarterial coronary bypass grafting using bilateral internal thoracic arteries in T-graft technique performed by trainees.
Methods: Patients from January 2005 to February 2023 who had undergone multiarterial coronary bypass grafting using bilateral internal thoracic arteries in T-graft technique were analysed. Patients were divided into 2 groups based on the primary surgeon: consultant and trainees.
Most thoracic aortic aneurysms (TAAs) are asymptomatic and often diagnosed at the time of rupture. TAAs involving the proximal arch require adequate coverage with thoracic endovascular aortic repair, which is timely and challenging in emergent ruptures. In situ laser fenestration is a novel method of arch revascularization.
