Aim: Use of various substances, including opioid use is often associated with coming in contact with the law- enforcement agencies. Data are scarce on the unique socio-demographic and clinical correlates from the Indian population. The current study aims to explore the clinical and socio-demographic correlations of law enforcement involvement among treatment-seeking adult males with opioid use disorder.

Introduction: Gender dynamics and interpersonal relations within intimate partnerships are known to determine health behaviors, including substance use, within couples. In addition, influence from intimate partners may occur in the context of wider social ecological determinants of health behavior. The aim of this study was to document the role of intimate partners in influencing injecting drug use among women in Kenya, where injecting drug use is on the rise.

Drug development has moved along way forward from the days of with doctors peddling cauldrons of herbs and spices, however, the process can still miss opportunities for full exploitation of a drug's potential. Drug reprofiling provides a chance for an established or a forgotten drug to move into a new area of therapy, whether related to the known effects or in a completely new area. In an era of environmental awareness and spiraling costs for traditional drug development, a strategy to squeeze every benefit out of drugs with known safety, tolerability and pharmacological parameters must be a strategically sound desire.
