Immune and endocrine parameters were studied in patients with autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura treated with glucocorticosteroids. Initial differences were registered in the levels of endogenic cortisol, lymphocyte cortisol-resistant fraction, circulating immune complexes and populations of immature lymphocytes for the therapy responders and resistant patients. The findings may be used in rating the efficacy of the on-going treatment.
