Heart activity was studied by electrocardiography (ECG) and variation pulsometry in patients aged from 17 to 44 1-21 days after light brain trauma. Homeostatic imbalance between suprasegmental structures of the brain was established. Disintegrated activity of these structures results in increase of ECG and variation pulsometry may be additional criteria for assessment of interactions between sympathetic nervous system and different levels of heart rhythm regulation.

Pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) is the third most common cause of acute cardiovascular disease, which can lead to high morbidity and mortality if left untreated. Anatomical and electrophysiological variations and obesity may complicate timely diagnosis and delay required management. While computed tomography pulmonary angiography (CTPA) remains the most accurate diagnostic tool, initial assessments using electrocardiography (ECG) or echocardiography can be helpful in early suspicion.

Electrochemical grinding (ECG) offers advantages such as burr-free and stress-free material removal. Despite its proven potential, limited research has addressed the comprehensive effects of key process parameters on the surface integrity of AISI 304 stainless steel, particularly for applications requiring high-quality finishes, such as medical components. This study bridges this gap by systematically investigating the influence of ECG key parameters including voltage, rotational speed, and electrolyte concentration on main surface integrity parameters including current density, surface roughness, microhardness, and surface texture.

Objective And Rationale: Small studies have shown that the QT interval follows a circadian rhythm. This finding has never been confirmed in a large real-world hospital population and the clinical meaning of disrupted rhythmicity remains unknown.
Methods: In this cohort study, all consecutive adult patients with at least one 12-lead ECG acquired between 1991 and 2021 were considered.

Background: Consumer-oriented wearable devices (CWDs) such as smartphones and smartwatches have gained prominence for their ability to detect atrial fibrillation (AF) through proprietary algorithms using electrocardiography or photoplethysmography (PPG)-based digital recordings. Despite numerous individual validation studies, a direct comparison of interdevice performance is lacking.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate and compare the ability of CWDs to distinguish between sinus rhythm and AF.

Unlabelled: Kounis syndrome (KS), characterized by the simultaneous occurrence of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and allergic reactions, can be triggered by a range of factors and drugs. We report on the case of a patient who arrived at our emergency department (ED) with symptoms of an allergic reaction after taking moxifloxacin and deflazacort orally. In the ED, the patient experienced a 5-minute episode of oppressive chest pain.
