Importance: Cutaneous pyogenic granulomas (PGs) are commonly encountered, benign, vascular tumors, in which epidemiologic factors have been variably reported, in part, due to sample size limitations and a focus on either adult or pediatric patients.
Objective: To assemble a large dataset of pathologically diagnosed PGs across the continuum of age and investigate patterns of PGs by demographic factors, including age, sex, and anatomical location.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This retrospective case series included case reports of patients with pathologically confirmed PGs of cutaneous origin reported between April 1, 2010, to March 31, 2020.

Point of Care (POC) diagnosis provides an effective approach for controlling and managing Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). Electrochemical biosensors are well-suited for molecular diagnostics due to their high sensitivity, cost-effectiveness, and ease of integration into POC devices. Schistosomiasis is a prominent NTD highly prevalent in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, with significant socioeconomic implications such as discrimination, reduced work capacity, or mortality, perpetuating the cycle of poverty in affected regions worldwide.

Objectives: We investigated the recently generated RNA-sequencing dataset of pulpitis to identify the potential pain-related lncRNAs for pulpitis prediction.
Materials And Methods: Differential analysis was performed on the gene expression profile between normal and pulpitis samples to obtain pulpitis-related genes. The co-expressed gene modules were identified by weighted gene coexpression network analysis (WGCNA).

Recognizing anemia and thrombpenia in acute and emergency medicine is easy. Acute (microangiopathic hemolytic) anemia and thrombopenia can be a sign of thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA). TMA syndromes are potentially life-threatening diseases.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFWe discuss an interesting case of a 65-year-old man with multiple dissociative episodes which previously had been assessed as fugues. After evaluation in the memory clinic these episodes appeared to be generalized epileptic seizures, with an electro-encephalographic diagnosis of non-convulsive status epilepticus. Throughout this case, the different features that characterize an epileptic versus a psychiatric etiology are being discussed as well as other differential diagnostic considerations.
