Background: When haemolytic anaemia, thrombocytopenia and renal failure are present, a thrombotic microangiopathic (TMA) condition should be suspected. We describe the various differential diagnoses of primary TMA syndromes, their clinical findings, clinical workup and treatment.

Case Presentation: A previously healthy man in his fifties was hospitalised with anaemia, thrombocytopenia, bilirubinaemia and acute renal failure.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we forecasted the number of hospital admissions for RTIs among children aged 0-5 years. Introduction: Previous population-based studies, mainly from high-income countries, have shown that a higher forced vital capacity (FVC) is associated with a lower risk of developing cardiometabolic diseases. The aim of this study was to assess the longitudinal association between spirometry measures and the onset of cardiometabolic diseases across sites in low-income, middle-income and high-income countries.
