The wish to prevent or improve scars, whether they are of surgical or traumatic origin, has led to the development of scar creams and gels that are said to influence the aesthetic appearance of a scar. In this article the literature on results of the topical application of various scar creams and gels is reviewed. It is concluded that no single modality has been proven to manage hypertrophic scarring except maybe silicone and BAPN. Further research into the physiology and pharmacophysiology of scar tissue is needed. With respect to scars, it still applies that even "plastic surgeons can't erase without a trace."

Polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRNs) and polynucleotides (PNs) are similar DNA-derived biopolymers that have garnered significant scientific attention since the 1990s for their potential applications in wound healing and skin rejuvenation. These biopolymers exhibit a broad molecular weight (MW) range, typically spanning from 50 to 1500 kDa. However, recent studies have expanded this range to encompass fragments as small as 1 kDa and as large as 10,000 kDa.

The self-assembled peptide RADA16-I (RADARADARADARADA) has been widely used in biomaterials. However, studies on the practical application of self-assembled peptide hydrogels loaded with bioactive peptides are still insufficient. In this study, we successfully prepared the peptide nanofiber gel RGJ by incorporating the bioactive peptides A8SGLP-1 (G) and Jagged-1 (J) into RADA16-I (R) in specific ratios.

Objective: To evaluate the effects of Zuyangping (, ZYP) formula on wound healing in diabetic rats, as well as the molecular mechanisms involved.
Methods: The main compounds in ZYP formula were identified by the Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. Sprague-Dawley rats, injected with streptozotocin (STZ) to establish diabetes model, then, formed a defective skin trauma in the back, and each group was treated with corresponding drugs once a day.
